This is the dry milling machine. It will
take the parchment off the bean and turn
them into "green" ready to roast beans.
The roaster... we can roast up to 10 lbs. at a
time. After it is warmed up to speed it will
roast every 15 min. The beans will have a
first pop at 400 degrees, and a second pop
at 450. It is the second pop that takes the
bean from medium to dark roast. The
darker the roast, the less caffeine will be in
the bean. The hot beans are then dumped
into the cooling box for about 10 min. They
are like eating pop-corn when hot.
