Climb up to a tropical paradise. This is an excellent spot for those who want to truly experience the peace and tranquility of Hawaii. Your hosts not only provide a wonderful space to stay - but also share their coffee, avocados, bananas and an assortment of tropical fruits grown on the property. We shared a Chinese New Year dinner with our hosts. Joy prepared amazing homemade dumplings - made with love from the abundant ingredients from her garden. Both Roy & Joy made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. Look out over The City of Refuge, snorkel in the best spots on the island - experience the local arts scene of South West Hawaii - all a stone's throw away. Enjoy this peaceful, open, lovely space that welcomes you home after your daily expeditions.

Roy and Joy were extremely warm and welcoming hosts, helpful when needed, but also allowing privacy. The house we stayed in was beautiful, clean, well stocked and had incredible views. It is located on a coffee farm with an abundance of fresh fruits and vegetables that Roy and Joy shared with us, some of the best tangerines, bananas, and avacadoes we've ever eaten. The common spaces were well suited for the six of us to gather and relax. The swimming pool and deck provided another great place to hang out. The house is located at the end of an interesting access road (bumpy and slow going but passable by passenger cars) and provides a quiet retreat within an easy drive of beaches, snorkling, restaurants and shops. Highly recommended.

Roy and Joy's place is spectacular!! Roy and Joy were wonderful host. We had a wonderful time there and couldn't ask for more. Their house has spectacular view. Every morning me and my family will be out to the farm to pick fresh organic fruits, and enjoy their freshly roasted coffee. Roy and Joy introduced us to Two Step to snorkel which is 15 min drive from the house, we liked so much we spent a lots of time there. Roy and Joy also gave us lots of travel recommendations like who to take surf lessons, other nicest beaches. And when we drove to volcano park Roy high recommended to stop by at hot spring nearby. All their recommendations totally highlighted our trip. There are lots of good located restaurants nearby Roy and Joy's place what's good. We lived like a local for two weeks which we loved. In addition we travel with our nine month old baby. Their house is spacious and safe for infant. I highly recommend this place to all my friends and relatives. If we have a chance to go to Big Island again definitely will stay Roy and Joy
